Bradford, in the 19th CenturyA G Thomas (Bradford) Ltd was established in Bradford, Yorkshire in 1890 by Alexander George Thomas when he settled there after finishing his apprenticeship as a watch repairer. The present Managing Directors, Arnold G. Thomas and Sandra Thomas are, respectively, his grandson and great granddaughter.

Alexander Thomas soon saw a need for a wholesaler in the Bradford area and
the company has developed from that small start. Harold, his son, used to visit customers
on his motor bike and the customer base was extended into northern England, and Arnold
Thomas developed the business in Ireland. The company has now grown to be a major force in
the trade, throughout the UK, but remains a family led concern, aiming to give the best
possible service to the manufacturer, repairer and retail jeweller.
